Winding along the Pacific coast, this scenic 18-mile paved path stretches from Castroville to Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove along the beautiful Monterey Bay shoreline. Bike or walk through gorgeous scenery, with views of Monterey Bay and wildlife viewing, harbor seals, sea otters, sea lions, and whales. You can rent bikes, surreys, and skates from a local business along the trail.
The multi-use rail trail is a great way to avoid the roads to get to downtown Monterey, beaches, parks, historic sites, and popular attractions such as Cannery Row, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, lined with restaurants, bars, and shops.
